Party Planning 101
So, you’ve decided to hire the Kyle Kazoo Show for your special day – AWESOME! Below are some best practices to keep in mind as you prepare for the big event!
Truthfully, you can have the show take place at any point during the event – HOWEVER, it is usually best to have the show take place at least 30-60 minutes after guests are told to arrive…this way, you avoid any latecomers missing part of the show (or worse, causing a distraction when they arrive)!
It can be as simple as putting balloons on the mailbox or as elaborate as cardboard letter signs adorning the front yard, anything that tells people where the party is happening will make for an easy and efficient arrival!
While the Kyle Kazoo Show “packs small, but plays big”, Kyle is usually able to get everything to the performance space in one trip; that being said, it is always a good idea to have a parking space available that is relatively close to the performance space just in case additional trips are necessary.
The good news is, there has never been a performance space that Kyle hasn’t been able to make work…the bad news is sometimes it takes a bit longer on the front end to get the performance space ready once Kyle arrives. With that in mind, it is always a good idea to have an area inside that can accommodate all your guests – living rooms usually work best – so with just a bit of furniture rearranging beforehand you should be all set!
If you plan on having other forms of entertainment during your party – face painter, DJ, bounce house, etc. – it is important to schedule the Kyle Kazoo Show around (either before or after) those other activities as to not create an overlapping conflict of interest. While some entertainment elements tend to be present throughout the party, such as a DJ or a bounce house, it is important to pause those activities while the show is going on so your guests fully enjoy the show!
Latecomers, TV, music, food, overly chatty adults…all of these are but a sampling of what could possibly distract your guests from enjoying the show. Keep an eye out for the family pet, a wandering toddler, or (the worst) chatty adults in the back of the room that could disrupt the flow of the show. The Kyle Kazoo Show features a LOT of audience participation…and the number one distraction that could deter your guests from participating is food. While it may be tempting to give your little one a snack to enjoy while they watch the show, we want to do everything we can to allow them to enjoy the show to the fullest – and if they can’t clap because their hands are full or can’t laugh because their mouths are full (which, let’s be honest, could also pose a choking hazard), they won’t be able to!
While it may be a common misnomer that magicians are “just for the kids”, Kyle prides himself on presenting a show that is equally entertaining for kids as well as adults. With that in mind, it is important to make sure that everyone at the party pay attention for the duration of the entire show. It is also important to have all adults on hand to supervise and keep an eye out just in case someone may be causing a distraction during the performance. Afterall, you hired a magician, not a babysitter!
For most shows, Kyle requires a deposit ahead of time to secure the date (usually 50%). Once the show is complete, be sure to have the balance ready to ensure a quick and easy departure so you can get back to your party! Please note that all shows come with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and all major credit cards are accepted.
These guidelines are put in place to ensure you get the best possible show for your guests – so it is important to abide by them to their fullest extend to get the most bang for your buck!
Kyle is excellent with kids and has the unique ability to hold young kid’s attention for more than an hour as well as the adults! He engages the audience with a great combination of humor and magic. More importantly, he made our son feel very special on his birthday. Thanks for a great show!

Our audience was a mix of adults and children and Kyle engaged everyone. The entire show was filled with laughter and wonder for my guests. We were amazed at his ability to hold the attention of such a highly mixed audience. Kyle is professional and yet extremely personal as well.
